To see where the Cass surname was most prominent in Ireland, I decided that I would look at the Birth and Baptism records from late 18th century to early twentieth century.
To do this, I looked at the records from Roots Ireland, Irish Genealogy and Find my Past. According to these records, there were approximately 758 Cass names listed on the Island of Ireland. Please note that as all records are not available, it is impossible to get a more accurate no. as many of the records for the Counties start at different periods.

I thought it would be interesting to do a further breakdown to include not only the County but also the Parish.
As you can see from the map, the surname is most prominent in Kilkenny, Laois and Tipperary
